The Green Party's voting leaflet mentions tackling the increased traffic pollution, noticeably in Cowley Road, Oxford.
I rang the environmental health department saying there was an increase of diesel fumes, to which its answer was: "Did you get the number of the vehicle, Sir?"
I said I thought more people were buying diesel-driven cars and this was the result of more diesel fumes. The answer was: "All new cars have improved emission and a strict MoT'.
I don't believe this. If you can smell diesel burning your nostrils, it's still there.
I don't think councillors have the answer - it must come from the Government.
It's nothing to see two or three cars in people's front gardens.
It is now dangerous to walk almost anywhere. Something has to be done.
