Three burglaries in Faringdon are believed to be linked.
Police are appealing for information after car keys were stolen when a house was burgled in London Street between 10am last Friday, April 11, and 11am on Sunday, April 13.
Then between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday, April 14, thieves attempted to get inside a house in Fernham Road by causing damage to rear patio doors.
On Tuesday, thieves burgled a house in Lansdown Road by breaking in through a window, and stole a gold necklace, worth about £800 Dc Chris Leech said: "I suspect that these burglaries could be linked and I'm keen to catch those responsible.
"The thieves seem to be going to the rear of the property and breaking their way in through forcing open a window or patio doors. I would also suggest that as the thieves are stealing items like jewellery and money, there is a chance that they have no access to a vehicle.
"We have had reports of a man with ginger hair knocking on doors in the Faringdon area around the time of the burglaries. I am keen to speak to this man as I feel that he could help me with my investigation "I would urge anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to contact the police."
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
