A DRIVER died today after his car crashed into a hedge on a road south of Oxford.
The crash happened at about 7am on the B4015 to Stadhampton, a quarter of a mile from the Golden Balls roundabout near Nuneham Courtenay.
Paramedics, police and firefighters were called to the scene after the crash involving a red Nissan Primera.
Police spokesman Claire Gourlay said: "I can confirm that the male driver, a 61-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries. His car left the road and came to rest in the hedge.
"Police are now waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination. Any drivers who were in the area at the time and have any information should contact Sgt Jack Hawkins at Abingdon traffic base on 08458 505505."
- There were also delays on the A415 in Witney, following a car fire on Ducklington Lane northbound, near the Thorney Leys junction.
