A family was evacuated last night after a moped was set on fire in the front porch of a house.
Fire crews were called at around 1.30am to deal with the blaze in Barracks Lane, east Oxford, near Oxford Community School.
Fire engulfed the moped, which was propped up against a wall, and flames tore up the outside of the house to a first floor window.
Two fire engines were quickly on the scene, along with police, who closed the road while the blaze was put out.
A family was evacuated while firemen dealt with the incident and nobody was injured.
It is thought the fire was started deliberately and police have begun an investigation.
