A disabled mother and her eight-year-old son teamed up for a charity swimathon.
Lynne and James Keen, of Fair Close, Bicester, swam 1,500 metres in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Mrs Keen was involved in a car accident in 1993, leaving her with pelvic, back and leg injuries, and restricted mobility.
The 40-year-old said: "I was in a wheelchair for a long time and now I can walk with crutches. When I am swimming I use only my arms, as my legs do not want to go."
James, a pupil at Bicester's Glory Farm School, is a keen swimmer and wanted to do the challenge with his mum.
James completed the distance in one hour and 45 seconds, with his mum following behind six minutes later.
Mrs Keen said: "Swimming is the one sport we can do together, as I'm unable to run around or ride a bike. It went really well."
