Luncheon club stalwart Gertrude Prouse celebrated her 100th birthday on the same day as the Queen.
Mrs Prouse, of Collingwood Close, Headington, Oxford, was 100 on Monday, the Queen's actual birthday, and was delighted to receive a card and telegram from Her Majesty.
She and fellow members of the congregation at the United Reformed Church in Collingwood Road celebrated with a party at the church.
She said: "I was very glad to get a card from the Queen."
Mrs Prouse's cousin, John Hopkins, 78, said: "Gertrude was one of the people who started the lunch club and was one of the founder members of the church. She had a lovely birthday celebration. Her son Roger came over from County Wexford in Ireland, while other family members came from Sweden, Switzerland and Wales."
