A man was bitten and scratched by a dog while walking his pet in Chinnor.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the man was walking his dog on Station Road, near to the Crown Pub, when a dark, medium-sized dog broke free from its owner's control and ran across the road, dragging its lead behind, at about 8.25pm on Monday April 14.
Details were only released today.
Police said he picked up his pet to protect it but the other dog scratched and bit the back of his legs.
The owner of the dog, a woman, shouted at the man as she crossed the road to collect her dog, police added.
The woman is described as white, aged in her 30s and around 5ft 4ins, medium build and spoke with a local accent.
Pc Matt Rantle said: "It is an offence, and irresponsible, for the owner to not be in control of their dog and I am appealing for anyone who may know who this woman is, or have seen this incident happen, to contact me."
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
