CHILDREN armed themselves with soap and sponges for a charity car-washing session.
The ten- and 11-year-olds from Uffington primary school joined parents to clean 20 cars to raise more than £300, which will go to a St John Ambulance project in Ghana, where it will be spent on a resuscitation unit.
The car-washing was just one of several fundraising events at the school, including Easter egg hunts, a triathlon, a bring-and-buy asle and name the bunny competition.
