A BOOKSHOP owner is hoping for success in a prestigious awards ceremony.
Mostly Books bookshop, in Stert Street, Abingdon, has been open for just under two years and has been shortlisted for the British Book Industry Awards' New Bookshop of the Year category.
Owner Mark Thornton, pictured with Alison Winder, left, and Nicki Thornton, said: "It's just fantastic, I am so delighted.
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported the shop since opening as you've all played a crucial part in helping us succeed and grow. Fingers crossed when the results are announced."
The bookshop, which opened in July 2006, runs several book clubs.
Customers can also follow a blog of the bookshop's progress at the website mostly-books.co.uk
The shop will be visited by a mystery shopper, and a panel of judges, including author Jacqueline Wilson, will pick the winner. The awards ceremony is in Brighton on May 13.
