A fatal accident at an Oxford golf club has reignited concerns about parking in the area.
Ralph Woodward, who was in his 90s, died after his buggy crashed into a bunker at Southfield Golf Club, overturning and crushing him.
Members of the club said fire crews struggled to reach the club, in Hill Top Road, because cars were so badly parked, preventing access.
Fire crews eventually reached the scene through a different part of the golf course by removing a fence panel.
Club director David Jones said: "Once the fire brigade had been called to the club, they had problems getting along Hill Top Road.
"All of the cars parked on the road delayed them by about 10 minutes and one of the ground staff had to let them in by removing a fence panel.
"If an emergency vehicle cannot get to us because of all the cars, it is obviously something we are not happy with.
"The safety of our members is obviously our main concern. How many more people have to die before we rectify the situation?"
Lynne Trenery, spokesman for the Divinity Road Area Residents' Association, said parking in Hill Top Road and the surrounding streets is a long-running problem.
She said: "It has got worse in the past five years and we have had complaints from the emergency services before.
"The parking here can only be described as chaotic at best.
"We are having a long-running battle with Oxford Brookes University over it as it is students parking their cars here which is causing the problems."
Prof Floris Van Den Broecke, of Hill Top Road, said: "This is a constant problem here, particularly the stretch of Hill Top Road between Divinity Road and Southfield Road.
"People are always being asked to park on the pavement to ensure there is enough room for traffic to get through, but then we are asked not to park on the pavement as this blocks access for pedestrians.
"I think the only solution is controlled parking zones, but I know some residents are opposed to the introduction of parking permits."
Sietske Boeles, of Southfield Road, said: "The problem is at its worst at the moment, it's terrible. I can see how the fire brigade would have struggled to get through.
"It is a problem I believe is caused by people parking irresponsibly.
"Term has started again this week - and the problem has immediately worsened."
