I would like to ask Oxfordshire County Council what it plans to do with Mary-Wood House, a large building in Leiden Road, Wood Farm, Oxford, that has been empty for more than four years.
This was, and still is, a perfect looking property that could have been rented.
That income could have been spent in the community, on traffic lights at the junction of Wood Farm Road and The Slade, parking spaces in Chillingworth Crescent, and warning signs outside Wood Farm School, which took years for the council to put in place.
Churchill ward residents pay a great amount of council tax, yet get so little back in return. Our money is being spent elsewhere.
Our community is not going to tolerate this much longer - we have been ignored for far too long.
People come to us for help on numerous occasions. We listen to them and do our utmost to help them, but the council treats us with contempt.
As chairman, I am fed up with beating my head against a brick wall.
Every time I raise subjects at north east area committee meetings, all I hear is: "The matter will be looked into."
This is not good enough - we want action now.
