POLICE appealed for witnesses after a golf buggy overturned at Southfield Golf Club, Oxford, today, injuring two people.
The incident happened just before 11am, on a green near the fourth hole.
A 92-year-old man was driving the buggy when it overturned. He is in a critical condition at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, having sustained serious neck injuries.
A passenger in the buggy, also an elderly man, is also being treated at the hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Lord Nuffield Club, off Barracks Lane, at the time and saw the incident happen.
PC Rob Turpin, of Abingdon Roads Policing, said: "The Lord Nuffield Club overlooks the green, so there is a strong possibility that someone saw the incident occur.
"We are also keen to hear from the person who initially alerted staff at the club before the emergency services were called."
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact PC Turpin via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
