A cyclist suffered serious injuries after a collision with a heavy goods lorry in Oxford.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision at the junction of Marston Road and Headington Road at 3.30pm yesterday.
A 45-year-old cyclist collided with a Scania HGV lorry. She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she was in a critical condition last night.
However, by this morning her condition had improved to serious but stable, a Thames Valley Police spokesperson said.
Pc Nick Perks said: "The road was closed while police examined the scene. The area was busy at the time and if anyone witnessed the collision I would urge them to contact me."
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
