Sir - Following the snowfall on Sunday, April 6, my wife and I decided to take a walk that took us from Radley up Sugworth Lane.
We took with us a camera expecting to take some photos of the snow against the blue skies. What did we find in a lay-by, but a commercial chiller full of builder's rubbish. The persons dumping the items had clearly tried to erase any indication of where it came from. However, it was clear that it had previously been in a small store. I would like to appeal to anyone who is aware of any refurbishment to their local store and might recognise the chiller to contact the Vale of White Horse District Council to report this with the hope that whoever dumped it there can be prosecuted.
It may be whoever has had the work done thought they were getting a good deal. But is it such a good deal when the countryside is blighted in this way. Particularly when only a mile away they could have used the Redbridge site.
Nick Kennedy, Radley
