HUNDREDS of people are expected to flock to Ducklington today to celebrate a rare wild flower.
The Snake's Head Fritillary thrives in a small field just a few yards from St Bartholomew's Church and is one of the few remaining meadows in the Thames Valley where it still flourishes.
Today, the church will hold a Fritillary Festival to raise money. The event will include Morris dancers, teas, posters made by local schoolchildren and an "open rehearsal" of baroque music.
Admission is free and donations go to the church fabric fund.
