Young people in Carterton have been given a £500 helping hand from their town council to enjoy themselves.
The grant is for this year's Extreme Wheels Day on Saturday, August 9, at the town's skate park, off Upavon Way.
It is being organised by the Youth Council and town councillor Adrian Coomber who said: "It's run by the youngsters, for the youngsters and each year it has got better and more popular."
The 12-hour day, from 10am to 10pm includes events like skateboarding and rollerblading as well as live music.
Anyone who wants to get involved in the project can email Mr Coomber on adrian@adriancoomber.com
The council has also given a £200 grant towards the setting up of a Carterton Youth Council website.
