PLANS to upgrade a run-down shopping precinct are up for public discussion.
Cherwell District Council is seeking opinions on the redevelopment of Orchard Way Shopping Parade in Banbury.
The existing mix of shops, flats, and maisonettes, will be replaced with a similar combination of homes and retail premises with the focus on affordable housing.
A consultation document, which outlines the planning and design criteria, is now available.
Nigel Evans, the council's head of planning and affordable housing, said he is committed to maintaining the area's current blend of residential and retail units He said: "It is important that the Orchard Way development meets the needs of everyone who will use it, which is why we are asking for their opinions through the consultation process."
Consultation will end on May 2.
The consultation document can be obtained from the council's offices at Bodicote House, Bodicote.
