Further to your articles featuring Peter Bonney's quest to improve road safety in Chillingworth Crescent, Wood Farm, Oxford, I would like to raise two issues.
The solution he is suggesting would benefit only one side of this dangerous road and encourage drivers to go even faster, probably on to the pavement on the other side of the road, exactly as they do now.
Secondly, I have been campaigning on this issue for a number of years, during which time I have taken pictures and shown them to Mr Bonney. He ignored them.
At a meeting he attended on this issue six months ago, he said nothing at all.
Isn't it amazing how public spirited some people suddenly become when they are seeking office.
Road safety in Chillingworth Crescent is about protecting residents and their visitors.
It is a matter of life and death. It should not be reduced to a soapbox for those seeking votes.
