POLICE are investigating how a fire started in storage unit on the Milton Park estate.
Six fire engines from Didcot, Wallingford and Abingdon and 30 firefighters were called on Saturday morning after a passer-by noticed smoke coming from the Tablogix building.
The company's sprinkler system kept the blaze contained and kept damage to a minimum.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Because of local knowledge of the size and scale of the premises, three fire appliances were immediately mobilised.
"On arrival, the crews found the large single-storey building to be heavily smoke-logged."
Station manager Mike Pilcher said: "We quickly found the seat of fire involving cardboard packing.
"Due to to automatic sprinkler system the fire had been contained to a small area of the building which enabled the crews to tackle the fire quickly and prevent it spreading.
"Damage to the premises was minimal.
"The sprinkler system certainly saved the business from major loss."
