Police are keen to trace an elderly woman who was last seen shopping in Oxford.

Eighty-four-year-old Molvie Idona Chambers, known as "Molly", was shopping in Headington at around 5pm on Friday.

She was last seen at about 6.20pm, near the A40 Thornhill Park and Ride walking towards Oxford and has not been seen since.

Ms Chambers is black, around 5ft 1ins tall, thin, with black hair, and was wearing a bright purple headscarf, black coat, blue pleated skirt and black boots.

Due to her age and concern for her welfare, officers launched a search operation but have so far been unable to locate her.

People are asked to contact police immediately if they believe they have seen the missing woman by calling 085458 505505.
