A garage’s security alarm prompted a police swoop in west Oxford.
At least two police cars, police officers, and three PCSOs – including one on the back of a bicycle – could be seen outside HiQ Tyres in Ferry Hinksey Road.
The cars were spotted speeding towards the garage from the Osney Mead industrial estate at around 9pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the police presence followed a 'false alarm after a suspicious report'.
He said: “We were called after a member of the public saw and heard the security alarm going off at the premises so officers had a look but it was all secure and nothing suspicious was found so the report was filed.”
