CRIME in the Cherwell area has fallen by three per cent, according to the latest figures.
Statistics released by Thames Valley Police show there were 140 fewer crimes between April, 2007 and the end of January, compared to the same period the previous year.
Criminal damage and vehicle crime fell, but violent assault increased.
