I have seen it stated that we are the fifth wealthiest country in the world.
So why do we have a phenomenal national debt and why does the Chancellor seek to bankrupt ordinary people?
Could it be that it is not England, but the UK that is seen as being so wealthy and that, when you break it down, you discover that most of the wealth that isn't in tax havens has moved north of the border, leaving us English to shoulder the debt?
Nothing to do with our Scottish-dominated Parliament, of course. Still, you mugs voted this lot in, so you can hardly complain. Now where's my kilt?
