A MOTORCYCLIST is believed to have died in a crash south of Oxford today.
The rider was airlifted to hospital after the collision at about 3pm on the A4074 northbound near to the Dorchester-on-Thames turn.
It is understood the motorcyclist has died, although it is too early for Thames Valley Police to confirm this. The road is closed between Berinsfield and Shillingford.
The wreckage of a motorcycle and badly-damaged front of a silver two-door car are being investigated by police officers.
Three other cars are also at the crash scene.
Police spokesman Victoria Bartlett said it was too early to confirm how serious the injuries were.
Eight police officers, including one from the forensic collision department, are at the scene.
