I am disabled and use a wheelchair for shopping.
As my chair was having its MoT, I borrowed a wheelchair from Sainsbury's supermarket in Witney.
There appeared to be only three available. One had only one brake - the other was stuck in the 'off position'. The second chair had only one footrest. The third chair seemed only to go one way - sideways.
After complaining in the store and writing to customer services in London, I received a 'thank you for writing' letter, which ignored the problem completely.
I notice that the faulty wheelchairs are still in service.
I know Sainsbury's line is 'Try Something New Today', but I don't think it means wheelchairs.
They sent me a £5 voucher, which I sent back. Now I know the price of my disability.
