A couple who met in a farming community and moved to Witney for work are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary.
Ronald and Alma Harding walked down the aisle together at the village church in Aldsworth, Gloucestershire, on March 29, 1958.
They came to live in Witney when he switched trades to work for the vehicle heaters plant at Smiths Industries, once the biggest employer in the district.
"We were both from farming families, it was the only work there was then," said Mr Harding, now 74.
"I cycled eight miles to a dance at another village and she was there. We caught each other's eye and met up again."
He and Alma, now 69, still live at the house they moved to in Apley Way in Witney.
They have two sons, a daughter and five grandchildren.
