So the Government wants to ban all tobacco advertising, right down to corner shops and supermarkets selling cigarettes from under the counter.
The thinking behind this 'out of sight, out of mind' policy is that it will deter young people from smoking.
What a load of cobblers.
Are they going to do the same with alcohol, which is more of a problem with binge drinking and drink-related crime?
Will vehicle manufacturers be banned from advertising because of emissions polluting the atmosphere?
You can just see it - large, windowless warehouses with cars being sold in large cardboard boxes, with a picture of what's inside, just like Dinky toys.
Oh yes, look after the box as your old car will be worth more in it. Is all this coming from Brussels?
It is a pity the Government doesn't get down to sorting out properly the issues that really affect us - the mess with the NHS, crime, education, better deals for the pensioners and immigration which has contributed to all the other issues falling apart - instead of wasting our money on other petty issues.
