Walking enthusiasts are being urged to recycle their old boots for charity.
Staff at the Go Outdoors branch at Redbridge, South Oxford, are collecting the boots which will be passed on to Oxfam.
Store manager Martin Dix said: "Hundreds of thousands of old walking boots are discarded in the UK every year and some stay buried in shoe cupboards for years without ever seeing the light of day.
"We're appealing to walkers in the Oxford area to simply check around the house for boots they'll never use again.
"Bring them down to the store and we'll look after the rest."
