I topped up my Oxford Bus Company Key Card and asked for my email address to be changed as I wasn't getting any emailed notifications.

Now I'm getting them, I'm shocked that my full personal details are on the confirmation mails - name, full postal address and date of birth.

Is this really necessary? What purpose is this for?

Considering the email address on my account was wrong for some time, every time I've topped up my card online, someone else has been potentially getting these emails with my personal details.

I'm really conscious about this at a time when identity theft is a hot topic in the news. This opens me up for potential problems in future.

I raised this with Oxford Bus Company a month ago, but had no response.

Has anyone else had similar problems?
