THREE new exhibitions will open at Modern Art Oxford, in Pembroke Street, today.
They are a sculptural installation by Mircea Cantor on the theme of uncertainty, which features a carved wooden form wrapped around the trunk of a tree in a Transylvanian forest and a flying carpet woven with motifs of angels.
The second is a series of more than 70 landscape photographs by the late photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams and the third is a conceptual work, called Encounters, by Katie Paterson, which invites visitors to call a number connecting them to an Icelandic glacier which they can hear melting.
Entry to the exhibitions is free. They open on Wednesday.
