Can the chief executives of Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council explain why their offices are closed for the extra day after every Bank Holiday?
Surely when cutbacks are being forced on the electorate, full-time working should be in operation in these offices.
They talk of savings having to be made, yet how many hours of productivity are lost over the year because of this archaic practice of an extra day when the Town Hall and County Hall are closed?
