AN annual charity beer festival is returning this month with more than 30 ales and ciders on offer.

The Choko Beer Festival, in Cholsey, near Wallingford, opens its doors on Saturday, September 24.

Now in its 13th year, the event also has live music and all day food and refreshments.

It has raised over £110,000 in previous years for African community projects – most recently through Go-Mad in Tanzania but also previously with World Vision– as well as supporting numerous local organisations and the local school PTA.

A special "Choko-motion" train will run on the Cholsey and Wallingford Railway to transport festivalgoers to the festival and back from Wallingford from 11am with the last returning train from Cholsey at 9.30pm.
