POLICE are appealing for information following two break-ins at pubs in the Vale of White Horse.
The Rose and Crown pub in Ashbury, near Wantage, was broken into sometime between 1am and 9am on Tuesday, March 19.
PC Adrian Bray said: "The cellar doors at the pub were broken into however nothing was taken; this could be because the doors leading to the pub were all locked."
The White Horse at Woolstone was also burgled on the same day between 1am and 6.30am. The thieves gained access to the pub through the side kitchen door and around £700 was stolen from a till.
PC Bray added: "A vehicle was heard screeching away from the White Horse at about 3am but was not seen. I am appealing for anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle in the area to contact me.
"The black drawer from the till and the blue cash tin that contained the money is still missing, so if anyone sees these items I would urge them to contact me."
Anyone with any information should contact PC Adrian Bray at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you do not want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
