A WOMAN is concerned about water being “wasted” in Horspath after a suspected burst pipe.
Water has been flooding the junction of Blenheim Road and Butts Road in Horspath since Monday, September 5.
Shian Peden, who takes her son to nursery in the area, was concerned about the water being “wasted” during a hose pipe ban enforced by Thames Water.

The ban came into place from Wednesday, August 24 after the driest July on record caused water levels in rivers and reservoirs to be much lower than usual.
Mrs Peden reported the issue to Thames Water but said she was told to call her local authority.
She said: “I tried calling South and Vale District Council about six to seven times. I finally got through and left a voicemail with someone about it.
“Eventually someone got back to me and said to send videos of the water and after he viewed them he said it looked like a burst pipe and I would need to go back to Thames Water about the issue.
“I did say I don't care whose problem it is, precious water is being washed down the drain literally at a very rapid rate.

“I think it's disgusting that this has not been dealt with as soon as possible and I do not understand why residents have not made a complaint sooner.”
Thames Water have been asked for a comment.
