Postman Sean Brown has been making sure he is in fine form to deliver come race day - by using his rounds to stay in shape.
Mr Brown, 36, who will be taking part in his third marathon and his second London Marathon, usually delivers post in Barton, Oxford, and says the hills on his route have helped his fitness regime.
He will be running to raise cash for Oxford's Sobell House hospice, and already has more than £1,000 in sponsorship.
He said: "At the start of the year I saw an advert in the Oxford Mail appealing for people to run the marathon for Sobell House so I got in touch and here I am. My training has been going well."
A member of Headington Roadrunners, Mr Brown, of Boswell Road, Cowley, is hoping to break the four-hour barrier. He completed the London Marathon and the New York Marathon in 2000 in five hours two minutes and four hours 46 minutes respectively.
