VILLAGERS in Dorchester have celebrated the culmination of a £32,000 project designed to attract more visitors to the area.
Local people hosted tours of Dorchester Abbey, guided countryside walks, a balloon race and afternoon tea in the Abbey Tea Room and Village Hall.
The day marked the end of a three-year regeneration project run by the Arthur Rank Centre, a charity that supports community-led tourism initiatives.
Pictured looking at an exhibition of what has been achieved is Brian Harding.
The village now boasts a better website, www.dorchester-on-thames.co.uk, map boards, walkers' guides and information touch screens in the Abbey and museum.
