Michael and Dian Murphy
Childhood sweethearts Michael and Dian Murphy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family this Easter.
The couple from Field Avenue, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, were joined by their three children and six grandchildren at the Four Pillars Hotel in Sandford-on-Thames for a celebratory lunch. Mr Murphy is well-known in Cowley, having worked at the car plant after a stint in the Navy.
Daughter-in-law Imelda Murphy said: "They have both got a great sense of humour and they have stuck together through thick and thin over the years. They manage to have a good laugh."
