THE Oxford Hospital Services Charity has made grants of more than £11,000 towards improving patient care at the city's hospitals.
It has bought pulse oximeters for the John Radcliffe Hospital cardiac department, to diagnose sleep disorders, and a hand-held nerve stimulator for pain relief in the neurosurgery department.
Two special wheelchairs for patients with complex posture problems have been bought for the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
The charity's income comes from investments, covenants, bequests and payroll deduction schemes.
