POLICE said that they were not treating the death of a man found in Witney as suspicious.

They said a post-mortem examination held as part of an investigation into the man's death was inconclusive.

The body of the man, in his late 20s or early 30s, was found at about 10.20am today in Wadard's Meadow.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Detectives now await the results of toxicology tests and the death is still being treated as unexplained.

"However, officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

"The dead man has not been formally identified - it is hoped this will be done on Sunday."
