There are a number of road works drivers need to be aware of this week.

Moderate delays are expected across the county, as motorists face moderate delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows the closures which are due to start this week:

Oxford 

• A34, from 8pm September 9 to 6am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Botley to Kidlington, Lane closures for barrier works.

• A34, from 8pm June 1 2022 to 6am March 31 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, major works advance warning signage only for Oxfordshire County Council works.

• A34, from 6am August 1 2022 to 11.59pm July 20 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, Lane closures on the exit slips for Oxfordshire County Council works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A34, from 8pm September 12 to 6am September 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Botley to Peartree, carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via local authority network.

• A34, from 8pm September 13 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 southbound, Peartree to Botley, carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via local authority network.

• A34, from 8am September 15 to 8pm September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34, Blenheim Horse trials Blenheim Palace.

• A34, from 8pm September 26 to 6am September 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Hinksey Hill to Botley, Lane closure for Oxfordshire County Council works, diversion via National Highways and local authority Network.

South Oxfordshire 

• M40, from 7pm September 12 to 7am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 8 Oxford Spur, mobile lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 7pm September 12 to 7am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 8 Oxford Spur, mobile lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 7 to junction 6, Lane closure for maintenance works,.

• M40, from 9pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 6 to junction 7, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8a, Lane closures for maintenance works.

• M40, from 8pm September 17 to 6am September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 8a, entry slip road closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 8pm September 17 to 6am September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 8a, exit slip road closure for maintenance works.

• A34, from 8pm September 19 to 6am October 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Peartree to M40, junction 9, carriageway closure for resurfacing works.

• M40, from 9pm September 23 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8a, Lane closures for maintenance works.

West Oxfordshire

Cherwell 

• M40, from 9pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 10 to junction 9, Lane closures due to maintenance work.

• A34, from 8pm August 30 to 6am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Weston on the Green, slip road and lane closures for signage repairs, diversion via National Highways network.
