PUPILS became police officers as they hunted out 'climate crimes' in a special energy-saving workshop at their school.
Northbourne Primary School in Cockroft, Didcot, hosted energy firm npower's first Climate Cop Academy in Oxfordshire, teaching pupils how to become more energy efficient.
The 31 eight- to ten-year-olds were given police notebooks to jot down any crimes against the environment they saw throughout the morning.
On hand to help was a giant 8ft polar bear who taught the children how his life was endangered by people using too much energy.
They were also told how turning the television off standby and switching off lights can help save energy.
Teacher Paul Collett said: "Afterwards they told me off because I left the light on in the classroom."
