COMEDIANS Mitchell and Webb have pulled out of a fundraising show in aid of East Oxford hospice charity Helen and Douglas House as they have been nominated for a Bafta award.
The pair had signed up to take part in Childish Things 4, at the New Theatre, Beaumont Street, alongside acts including Jimmy Carr and Bill Bailey, to raise cash for Helen and Douglas House, in Magdalen Road.
But, after their television show Peep Show was nominated for an award due to be announced on the same night, they sent their apologies.
Kate Day, who is organising Childish Things 4, said: "We think it's fantastic they have been nominated and we hope they win."
The pair said they would try to come to next year's event. Childish Things, which takes place on Sunday, April 20, has already sold out.
