With politics today, it would appear that everything is going to get worse before it gets better.
The EU is no joke. It poses the greatest threat there has ever been to our democracy, freedom and privacy.
Recent letters in the columns of the Oxford Mail testify to this.
I, on behalf of Ukip, believe that the majority of the citizens of Britain do not fully realise the implications of the Treaty of Lisbon, which is about to be ratified.
It is a matter of utmost national importance.
Yet 50 of the 65 Liberal Democrat MPs abstained from the vote.
This, in effect, is a vote against the referendum that the majority of British people desperately want.
Remember that part of the New Labour manifesto in 1997 said: "Our mission is to rebuild trust between Government and people."
Shortly, there will be a referendum in Southern Ireland.
Ukip continues to campaign for one in the UK.
