One of Oxford's biggest Easter celebrations has fallen foul to bad weather which has been forecast over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The 17th annual egg rolling contest at Shotover Country Park, which has attracted as many as 1,000 people in recent years, has been cancelled due to forecasts of gale force winds.
Organisers of the event, which had been due to take place on Good Friday between 10.30am and 1pm, are now hoping to rearrange it for later in the year.
