Sir - The survey you quote (Report, March 14) which definitively states that Oxford hotels are amongst the most expensive in the country is a boon to the city's residents.
We should all be intent on pointing out to potential visitors that Oxford is indeed incredibly expensive, that there's not much here apart from a lot of boring old buildings and that they'll have a lot more fun if they cross Oxford off their list of destinations, and head instead for the European City of Culture, or Glasgow, or somewhere like that.
