A two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in West Oxfordshire has left a man seriously injured. 

At around 11.50am yesterday (Saturday, September 10) there was a collision involving a Suzuki motorbike and a Land Rover Discovery on the B4437 near Ascott-under-Wychwood.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.

The occupants of the Land Rover were uninjured.

Police have asked any witnesses to call 101 quoting reference 43220407345.

The Oxfordshire County Council website states that each year in Oxford there are 30,000 accidents of all types on the roads, around 1,250 reported injury accidents and around 30 deaths.

In addition, there are approximately 245 serious injuries and nearly 1,250 slight injuries reported.
