A speeding motorist crashed into another car leaving the driver injured but failed to stop.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision near Witney yesterday.
A silver Renault Clio was attempting a U-turn on a minor road running between Curbridge and Ducklington, near the junction with the A415 at around 3.15pm.
It was then struck by a metallic blue Ford Mondeo.
Police said the Mondeo driver immediately reversed and left the scene without stopping, driving off in the direction of Curbridge.
The driver is described as white with short, with dark brown hair, clean shaven and was wearing a dark jacket.
The 32-year-old woman driving the Clio was treated on the scene by paramedics for minor injuries and shock.
Pc Robert Offord said: "This was callous behaviour - this man drove off without checking the lady who was driving the Clio was OK and left a lone and injured woman to pull herself out of her car."
