A woman was robbed by four men while walking home alone after a night out.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery which took place in Witney early on Saturday morning.
A 19-year-old woman was walking home along Woodstock Road when she was approached by four men at around 2am.
They pushed and shoved her before stealing her handbag, which contained a mobile phone, digital camera, cash and cash cards. They then ran off towards the town centre.
All four men are white, between 18 and 20 years old, and at least three of them were wearing white jeans.
Dc Kev Middlecote said: "Fortunately this young woman was not injured, but she has been left quite shaken by this robbery.
"Did you see this incident take place, or does the description of a group of young men in these distinctive white jeans ring any bells for you? If so, please get in touch.
"Can I also remind people that, while Witney is relatively safe places to live, we all have to take steps to ensure we stay safe after a night out. If you are walking home, do so with friends; if you are alone, take a licensed taxi home."
