POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old woman was robbed after a night out in Witney.
The teenager was walking home along Woodstock Road at about 2am on Saturday, after a night out in Witney, when she was approached by four men.
They pushed and shoved her before taking her handbag, which contained a mobile phone, digital camera, cash and cash cards. They ran off in the direction of the town centre.
All four men were white, aged 18-20, and at least three of them were wearing white jeans.
Det Con Kev Middlecote, of Witney CID, said: "Fortunately this young woman was not injured, but she has been left quite shaken by this robbery.
"Did you see this incident take place, or does the description of a group of young men in these distinctive white jeans ring any bells for you? If so, please get in touch.
"Can I also remind people that, while Witney is relatively safe places to live, we all have to take steps to ensure we stay safe after a night out.
"If you are walking home, do so with friends; if you are alone, take a licensed taxi home."
Det Con Middlecote can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
