The entente cordiale is alive and well and flourishing at a Didcot nursery.
Children at Hagbourne Pre-School had a special French Day when they made models of the Eiffel Tower and tricolour flags, tried French food and sang French songs.
Among those enjoying the day was the tots, who all wore clothes to represent the red, white and blue of the French flag, also learned about the country and managed to acquire a few words of the language.
Organiser Sarah Wright said: "Everyone enjoyed it and it made for a colourful day."
Last week the children held a sponsored bounceathon. Between them and using mini-trampolines, they bounced the equivalent of the height of Didcot Power Station's chimney - 650ft - to raise money for new equipment.
